Deke Polifka is Organist/Choirmaster at Grace Episcopal Church.  He holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in piano performance from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.  While an undergraduate student, he won the Brevard Music Center Concerto Competition and was a prizewinner in the MTNA Regional Collegiate Artist Competition.  Deke has also had extensive training in church music, studying choral conducting with Leo Nestor and organ with Edward Moore, Gordon Stewart and Joyce Kull.   Prior to moving to Colorado, he served as Organist/Choirmaster at Holy Cross Catholic Parish (Bethesda, Md.), Assistant Director of Music at Westminster Presbyterian (Alexandria, Va.) and principal accompanist for the Thomas Circle Singers and Catholic University Choruses.  Deke resides in Colorado Springs with his wife, Joyce, and their daughter, Elle.
